Russian Icons from Sofrino
The following Russian icons were crafted in Sofrino,
a town not far from Moscow. There is a small church factory with a lot
of artists whose work received the full blessings of The Patriarch of
the Whole Russia Alexii. It works for the Russian Orthodox Church since
1980. This factory recreates the art destiny of Russia accumulated throughout
more than a thousand years.
